According to Indian Yogic concept, human body is made up of five elements – air, water, fire, earth and space. Water vital for the survival many small big living creatures mother nature. Great civilizations flourished on banks rivers. The Kolong river, which was once a vibrant has transformed into most polluted due anthropogenic activities. present work needs much attention, as even Central Pollution Control Board (2013) listed river among 71 rivers India. It very important scrutinize water quality ecological health by analyzing fishery potential along with recent hydrochemistry river. study been undertaken in four sites Samoguri, Nagaon town, Jagi-bhakatgaon Kajalimukh (Mayong), respectively pre- monsoon, retreating monsoon winter from period July 2021 2022. Fish samples were collected through experimental fishing methods help fishermen. Physico-chemical parameters analyzed per guidelines APHA (American Public Health Association), 2017. revealed presence 40 different species belonging 32 genera 19 families fishes. habitat 2 critically endangered, endangered 3 near threatened fish species.
